Diploma Courses

We offer two diplomas accredited from London - the Subsidiary Diploma (1 year) and the Extended Diploma (2 years). These courses are ideal if you intend to pursue a career in the music industry.

Syllabus

These diploma courses will equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to have a successful and lucrative career in the global music industry. The course content covers a breadth of disciplines relevant to the industry, enabling you to excel in your musical endeavours.

 

This is what you will study as part of the Diploma courses:

Year 1: Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma for Music Practitioners (90 Credits)

  • Understanding Musical Styles

  • Practical Harmony I

  • Arranging Music

  • Music Sequencing and Production

  • Using Hardware with a DAW

  • Composing for TV and Advertising

  • Music Marketing

Year 2: Level 3 Extended Diploma for Music Practitioners (180 Credits) Equivalent to A-Level.

  • Practical Harmony II

  • Music Arrangement

  • Digital Recording and Production

  • Harmonic Manipulation

  • Composing for Films and Documentary

  • Selling Recorded Music

  • Getting Work in Music

 

To develop your practical skills you will have access to a studio, with state of the art digital equipment, and you'll be encouraged to take part in numerous music events throughout the country.

 

Requirements

To excel in these courses, you will need to have a keen interest in music and be enthusiastic and driven to develop your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Full commitment to attendance is required. Respect for others, enthusiasm for the subject and self-motivation are the essential qualities we expect to see in all our students. You should also have the enthusiasm and positive attitude that future employers will be looking for.

 

There is an expectation that you will continue your studies and coursework during your own time. You will also be expected to attend as many events as possible and network with as many people as you can.

 

The educational requirements are as follows:

 

The minimum educational certificate required for admission into either of our diploma courses is Standard 10 pass with a minimum of 65% in Mathematics and 65% in English in any of the certifications recognized in India such as ICSE, CBSE, SSLC, GCSE, etc.
